Committed to Sustainable Excellence

At SumiSaujana, we hold sustainability, health, and safety as paramount concerns within our operations.

As an organisation dedicated to ethical and responsible business practices, we proudly align ourselves with the United Nations Global Compact and adhere to its ten principles, which encompass human rights, labour standards, environmental stewardship, and anti-corruption measures.

Our commitment to sustainability is deeply ingrained in our corporate ethos, and we have implemented robust frameworks that prioritise Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations alongside Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) concerns. These frameworks guide our sustainability practices, ensuring that our operations are conducted in a manner that is both environmentally responsible and socially conscious.

Through the integration of sustainable practices, we strive to minimise our environmental impact, promote social well-being, and contribute positively to the communities in which we operate. This includes actively managing and mitigating any potential risks or adverse effects associated with our operations. Additionally, we prioritise the health and safety of our employees, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring that they operate in a safe and secure working environment.

SumiSaujana remains steadfast in our commitment to sustainable business practices, driving positive change and contributing to a better and more sustainable future for all.

Since 2022, we have consistently demonstrated transparency by reporting our climate-related data through the CDP Climate Change Questionnaire each year. Additionally, we uphold our commitment to responsible business practices by submitting the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) Communication on Progress (CoP) annually.

As part of our commitment to a net-zero GHG emissions future, we joined the Bursa Carbon Exchange (BCX) in 2023 to purchase carbon credits and offset our emissions through the voluntary carbon market.
